Burkina Faso's military-led government has dissolved all political parties, citing national unity and the need for a new governance system.
Minister Émile Zerbo said the move aims to strengthen governmental coherence and pave the way for reforms.
The decree hands over dissolved parties' assets to the state, with draft laws to be ratified by the Transitional Legislative Assembly.
The country had over 100 registered parties before the 2022 military coup.
The junta also adopted a $65 billion national development plan, the "Reliance Plan", to guide state rebuilding efforts
